SAUNA

The sauna has a beneficial effect on the immune system, contributes to the body detoxification and relieves the accumulated stress. It improves metabolism, lowers blood pressure, relaxes the muscles and speeds up the recovery after a workout. It improves the performance of the respiratory and excretory systems, increases skin and blood vessel elasticity and can alleviate chronic muscular and joint pains.

The Finnish sauna is a traditional, efficient and safe method for removing the toxins through sweating. Thanks to the high but tolerable temperatures – from 80°C to 100°C, it increases the temperature of the body, which in turn stimulates the sweat glands and triggers intense sweating. 

The infrared sauna doesn't heat the room with an electric stove equipped with volcanic stones, as in the dry Finnish sauna, but with infrared rays that are emitted by built-in infrared heaters. The temperature can reach between 40°C and 60°C. Some of the positive effects of using the infrared sauna are: detoxification, relaxation, pain relief, improved blood circulation. Perhaps one of its biggest advantages over the Finnish sauna is that it can also be used by people with high blood pressure. Infrared rays penetrate the skin and tissue at a depth of 2 to 7 centimetres and help alleviate various traumas and injuries.

You can visit the sauna at any time of the day but due to its relaxing effect it is advisable to be after workout or in the evening. Every stay in the sauna should be followed by cooling. This heating and cooling cycle can be repeated 2 to 5 times, and after the last cooling it is advisable to take a warm shower, lie down and relax for about 10-15 minutes.

 

STEAM BATH

Steam bath is a form of thermal therapy where the body is treated with hot air and high humidity. Steam has a great effect on skin blood supply, it tones the skin, refreshes and cleanses the dead cells, and stimulates fat burning. It also has a positive effect on the central nervous system, helps muscle relaxation, improves the body’s metabolic processes and has a beneficial effect in cases of muscular fever. The steam bath can have a healing effect in case of minor muscle trauma. Improves the functioning of the respiratory system and relieves stress. It is recommended to combine the steam bath with anti-cellulite programs, as well as with various facial and body procedures. Staying in the steam room should be followed by a cooling shower or a relaxing water massage. Combine with aromatherapy for even more relaxing and stimulating experience.

The Turkish bath is a symbol of Eastern culture, whose main philosophy is physical and spiritual purification. Hammam is a unique body relaxation and detoxification ritual that boosts the immune system, slows down the aging process, and improves the quality of sleep. The procedure has a beneficial effect on blood circulation, on the cardiovascular and digestive systems and on breathing. The ritual is performed on a heated marble top, whose heat reaches the bones and relieves joint and muscle aches, while the soft, pleasant steam in the room has an amazing effect on the skin.

The snow room is used as a cooling procedure – after the sauna or steam bath, for example. The snow room has a beneficial effect on the immune system, blood circulation and overall physical tone. In combination with sauna, the contrast procedure has a strong calming effect on the body and a balancing effect on the central nervous system.
